About

Danny Mulhern is a composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer based in London, working across film, television and artist releases.

His music sits at the intersection of cinematic, orchestral and electronic forms, often exploring themes of perception, intuition and the subtle dynamics between individuals and systems. Whether writing for screen, commercial campaigns or his own catalogue, his work is grounded in emotional clarity and a sense of space.

Recent work includes music for global fashion campaigns with Zara in collaboration with Baron & Baron, alongside ongoing collaborations with the London Contemporary Orchestra across both records and film scores. These include the feature film What They Had (starring Hilary Swank, Michael Shannon and Robert Forster) and Catching Dust.

His work for film and television spans a wide range of formats, from long-running drama (Silent Witness, BBC) to documentary series such as The Natural World and How Art Made The World, as well as entertainment projects with artists including Derren Brown, Matt Lucas and Simon Pegg.

Alongside his screen and commercial work, Danny releases a body of instrumental music under his own name. Albums such as Flow States and Singing Through Others explore improvisation, collective intelligence and the boundaries between composition and emergence, often in collaboration with the London Contemporary Orchestra.

These ideas are also reflected in Quiet Measures, a monthly Substack exploring creativity, process and the space around the work.
